Meet Valerie.

“Buy what you love.
Trust the details.”
The guiding principle of Evergreen Bits & Bobs.
Valerie has spent much of her life creating places where people feel welcome and helping them find things they love. Her work has taken many forms—an interior design firm, a stationery shop, a bed-and-breakfast—but an appreciation for beauty, thoughtful details, and personal connection runs through them all.
She owned Inspired Interiors, bringing together furnishings, design, and the practical work of making a house feel like home. At Papier, her stationery and retail business, she guided clients through custom wedding invitations, beautiful stationery, and the wording and etiquette behind life’s important occasions. Flowers became a natural extension of that work with Fleuriste at Papier.
Her food and hospitality background also includes professional catering training at L’Académie de Cuisine. Today, cooking for private gatherings can sit alongside the flowers, table and thoughtful planning.
As the owner of Wild Rose Farm Bed & Breakfast, she brought her eye for interiors and love of hospitality together, creating welcoming spaces for guests. Alongside her businesses, she has devoted time to community fundraising, renovation projects, and celebrations that bring people together.
Experience beyond private celebrations.
Valerie’s nonprofit and charitable work has included running large fundraising events, charity auctions, golf tournaments and holiday pop-up fairs. Bringing these occasions together means caring for the guest experience while managing the practical work: vendors, volunteers, schedules and the many details that keep an event moving. That experience informs the thoughtful planning and hands-on support she brings to Evergreen.
A lifelong collector of art and antiques, Valerie has an eye for pieces with character and a love of the stories they carry. Evergreen is the meeting place for those interests and experiences: homes with personality, objects with a story, and occasions made memorable through care and attention.
“It’s an evergreen.”
The name comes from that saying: something with lasting appeal, worth returning to and enjoying again. It reflects Valerie’s affection for enduring design, useful and beautiful objects, and traditions that continue to feel meaningful.
Beyond her work, Valerie is the mother of two grown children and grandmother to one grandchild. Her dog, Dempsey, keeps her company—and holds the unofficial title of Evergreen’s chief companion.
