Understanding what you have

A little research.
A clearer decision.

You may know a piece’s story without knowing what it might sell for today. We can help explore its maker, materials, condition and comparable sales, developing a realistic resale range for suitable vintage and collectible objects.

Begin with clear photographs, including marks or signatures, dimensions, any condition concerns, and the history you know. Research and any closer examination are agreed before work begins.

An asking price is a starting point; what a piece sells for depends on demand, condition and the selling costs involved. A resale estimate helps inform your choices and does not guarantee a sale price.

This is resale guidance. Formal valuations for insurance, tax or legal purposes require an appropriate specialist.

Choose the help you need

Your pieces.
A considered next step.

Understand a piece.

Explore a suitable item’s identity and likely resale range before deciding whether to keep it, give it away, or sell. Agree on any research fee and scope first.

Let us manage the sale.

For accepted consignments, hand over the research, photography, descriptions, listings, buyer communication and agreed packing and shipping arrangements.

Work through a collection.

When several pieces or a home transition feel overwhelming, begin with priorities. Identify suitable consignments and discuss the home services or outside help you may need.

For consignment, the commission, agreed selling expenses, payment timing and arrangements for unsold items are set out in writing before pieces are accepted. You’ll understand how the proceeds are calculated before moving forward.

Thoughtful consignment

Let a beloved piece
be loved again.

Downsizing or working through a family collection can mean parting with pieces that hold memories. We help suitable objects find their next chapter, with care for their stories.

We consider suitable vintage and collectible pieces for consignment, drawing on Valerie’s retail experience and lifelong interest in art and antiques. Selection begins with the piece, its condition and whether it is a good fit for the shop.

How consignment begins

A considered process.
Clear terms.

Show us the pieces.

Start with photographs, any background you know, condition and your timing. A conversation helps establish suitability and the work involved.

Agree on the details.

Before items are accepted, confirm commission, selling costs, responsibilities and payout terms in writing. Pricing and sales timing depend on the individual pieces.

Let the next chapter begin.

For accepted pieces, the agreed service can include research, photography, descriptions, listings and management of the sale.
